  1. Sorry here is more pics with nakago on http://page9.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/k177796505
  2. Hi Marius, I did the best I can with the photos! Here they are. http://imgur.com/a/HB7Bp
  3. Did the best i can with the photos! Very excited to have just received it from Japan. The Hitatsura hamon showed up nicely in the photos I think. http://imgur.com/a/nGuF4/ Full description in Japanese:
  4. Thanks so much for the feedback everyone! Especially Marius and Darcy! Marius, I will post more photos soon!
  5. Acquired this blade recently, thought I'd share it and love to hear your thoughts on it. http://www.kanetoyo.com/sell-katana-18.html I was quite excited to find a piece from the Heian era.
  6. Thanks Klaver. The Naginata does have a habaki and I believe the shirasaya is relatively new, would have to confirm when but definitely not the same age as the Naginata.
  7. Thanks Ken, I've been doing readings mostly online. The few books i've purchased are not too informative unfortunately. If you have any suggestions I'm all ears. Thanks
  8. Yes I'm the buyer, not reserved but paid and shipped. Just curious to what you guys think about it and this is my first naginata.

    Naginata

What do you guys think about this? http://nihontoart.com/item-details.php?id=71
  10. Thanks Thomas. I completely understand and will continue to learn.
  11. No offense taken, do you have any recommendations for a beginner to read? Prefer something available on Kindle. Thank you! Is there any more information to read up on him?
  12. Yes it is through an agent.
  13. Thanks Brian, the hamon is beautiful and my main reason for bidding on it. What do you mean by the tanto is "tired"? Do you think I should have it repaired in the US or just leave it in the shirasaya? Apply choji oil or not do anything? And hopefully another member can help translate the general descriptions for both pieces
  14. Thanks Mark and done in terms of the signature. As for appraisal I understand completely. Still would love to learn more about the 2 pieces if someone can translate and share more details.
  15. Hi everyone, I'm new to Iaido and decent to also start collecting. Have purchased from both Ebay and Yahoo Auctions so far but from sellers that are recommended on Nihonto board after reading. Will share my collection sometimes soon and continue to study.
