  1. If I cannot make it there in person is there someone that offers a service to submit it for me?
  2. I will check these out.
  3. After doing a crash course in tsubas and reading all the excellant advice I think I found one that is real and may purchase. http://www.aoi-art.com/fittings/6050-6100/06097.html
  4. Thanks for the all feed back. I will take a look at the info. I purchased a koto in gunto mounts and I am putting together the fittings to have a new tsuka and saya done. I spent the majority of money in my budget (the budget was based on one lucky day in Las Vegas) on the blade itself so my choices for fitting are either reproductions of originals or originals in not the best quality. So if I have to go with low class original on number 2 what would a good price be?
  5. Just saw these and like to know if they are athentic and relative value.
  6. Pictures did not get posted.
  7. I am taking a look at this tsuba and would like opinions if it is authentic.
  8. Well I'm in it now. I will post any progress made with the sword. Can the sword be submitted in it's current condition for papers?
  9. Just the type of feed back I needed. Any good polishers in the UK?
  10. I forgot to ask about Doug Blain
  11. know that truly qualified sword polishers are few and far between. Has anyone had direct experience with Harunaka Hoshino. I found information on a website that pretty much gives him a slashing. http://www.hizento.net/warning.htm I am getting estimates from the recommended people from this board. How about Louis Skebo, Christopher Lau, Kenji Mishina, David Hofhine, Fred Lohman etc. If you could share personal experiences, costs and turnaround time it would be most appreciated.
  12. The sight looks great but I do not get any email notifications on responses to my posts.
  13. I like to get some thoughts on this since I intended this for a katana. Being a new at this and looking at how the Tsuba was designed it looks reversible. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... %3AIT&rd=1
  14. It's good that you have had good luck from this seller. It's already up over 160 and there is 6 days to go. The color matches the fittings on my tsuka so it would look pretty nice.
  15. thanks for all the feedback. I looking for an original shinto period tsuba but it does not have to be high priced one.
  16. Any ideas on what a reasonable price would be for the real one. It is not signed.
  17. I saw these two recently and don't know how to judge these athentic. Any ideas?
  18. How how do you think it will go?
