  1. Mauro, Thank you for the information
  2. Hi, The attached pictures are of a Fuchi & Kashira that I had collected some time ago, and I would humbly request help with the identification of the school/ Craftsman if possible. What I do know is that is a depiction of the Demon Quiller-Shoki. It appears to my novice eyes to be good craftmanship with a signature...Real/ Fake ...not sure. Thank you in advance Jason
  3. Thank you for your help guys
  4. Hopefully, this is a good representation of capturing the desired measurements
  5. Gentlemen, Thank you, for your patience and understanding of the less desirable pictures. In truth, I will capture many lessons learned within this post and hopefully apply them for my next post. I have attempted to take additional pictures from my I-pad of better angles of the tusba. Thank you, Jason
  6. NMB members, I woundering if anyone can provide some information about the Tusba I have included within this post. I purchased it about a year ago, because I found it to be Aesthetically pleasing and with the long term goal of mounting it one day. The information I am seeking is time period, school and style..etc Thank you in advance. Jason Edit: Better pictures attached
  7. Stephen, I have worked with David in the past on a Tsuka project, and I can tell you that his craftsmanship is outstanding. If I remember correctly he is a school teacher and his ability to work on projects is based on working around his teaching schedule. Maybe with the holidays in the near future he might be able to catch up on some projects. If you need his contact info PM me. S/F Jason
  8. Drooling!!! Jason
  9. Thanks for the information guys. Steve, also thank you for the heads up on the Tadayoshi 2nd gen. I have been watching that one as well(drooling) I think it went for about 701,000 yen last night, but right now the extra cash just wasn't available. Hopefully, a member was able to get it and will be able to share what he has learned. Jason
  10. Request assistance in research I have been researching a Wakizashi on Art Aoi and am having a hard time matching the Tadayoshi 4th signature on the blade to my (Connoisseurs) reference books/ Internet. Art Aoi is very respected, so I am missing something. Based on my research I know a smith can change signatures over time but I am unsure if this is the case. http://www.aoijapan.com/wakizashi-oumi-daijyo-fujiwara-tadayoshi-4th-generation Thank you Jason
  11. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this piece of art Jean and members. When seasoned collectors have an informed discussion about an item such as this breathtaking sword it provides a good leaning opportunity for the novice collector. I look forward to one day purchasing an item of this caliber to study first hand. Jason
  12. Sorry to chime in, but is there a sword show in Florida this year? We just had one but I believe the next one is Tampa 2016. Thank you, Jason
  13. I attended the show today, and there was a lot of very informed Nihonto fans onsite. Hopefully, Bob can provide some pictures of some the tables and the products they were offering. Looking forward to the next show Jason
  14. Thank you, for the information guys.
  15. Request some information on a TSUBA I have attached to this post. It came with the Nihonto I purchased last year and I was wondering if anyone has seen one like this in the past? I don't have any concerns about it just interested in some information. I have been told it was from the Edo period but that is the extent of the information. I am not sure what the pattern is supposed to represent. Thank you, Jason
