Hello and Happy New Year to all, I have this Kabuto and Menpo for a few years now. Kabuto and Menpo are not from original set, but for display they are ok. together. I kindly ask you for some more info on this type of Kabuto and Menpo . Kabuto is probably from some low ranking solider. Fukigaeshi is cowered with leather with some pattern on it (hart to see). Menpo has "peaceful expression" face and good laquer. Thank You very much, Bojan S.

Hi,Jim, I think that this is the right smithhttp://nihontoclub.com/smiths/MOR43 on NBTHK Tokubetsu paper the name is writen exactly like this (千代鶴守弘) it is mentioned as 3th gen. and as son of Kuniyoshi1. The other Morihiro MOR 492, form Oei, has difernt kanji 森弘. First one Hawley 80 and second is Hawley 20. MOR492 is son of ChiyozuruMorihiro 2.gen. Also Markus Sesko noted in Chiyozuru genealogy two Morihiros from Oei, one is 3th gen. and second is son of 2. gen. Morihiro.. But this is jus my opinion, from what I find on the web? BojanS. -

Hello, I take another sword instead of this... It is Kanenori not Kanemori and it is back on Aoi salle.. I was informed by Aoi that it pass as Kanemori, so very non proffesional info from the seller, as I payed for shinsha...I got replays from few different staff...I hope that new order will work better than this... Thank you for help anyway. BojanS

Hi, yes, photos and seller is from Aoi, it had no papers so it was extra submited to Hozon papers and pass Kanemori. Era was stated by Aoi as late muromachi and 400 years old via email...so I ask for second opinion on Board.. BojanS

Nakago has old patina and corroded surface, there are traces of yasurime... BojanS.

Blade is 72,5 cm, Sori=1,7 cm Width at Hamachi=3,2 at Yokote is 2,9 cm Kasane is 0,71 cm Itame hada with nagare, jinie and some utsuri. Boshi is Hakikake. Hamon niedeki suguha...Polish is old. Hello Darcy, I attached part where hamon runs on nakago. If I look through magnifying glass where hamon ends also starts small holes in metal like on nakago, but with no rust. It looks like there were some rusting proces before polishing this part.. Is there any expert who can examine the blade from countrys around Slovenia/EU ? Thank you, Bojan S.
-
Hello, as blade has questionable age, but if I look only the style of hamon (gunome-midare) is it at least close to Bizen Morimitsu school? I can see also streight bo utsuri above the hamon.. Thank you for help, Bojan S.

Hello, I only noticed that one side (side which has full lenght bo hi on nakago) is more corroded (more in the end of nakago) than opposite, which is more brushed with clear horizontal lines . I also noticed microscope small holes in bright metal under habaki, where polisher finished polishing...it has also very small openings in bo hi area... A lot of activity on blade... very bright ko nie, ji nie, ashi, uchinoke in boshi, sunagashi... Thank you, Bojan S.
