  2. Hello, today one collector of militaria brought six swords in our museum, for more information. Two was signed, but in not good condition. I try to translate but I can't read all kanji. 1.Katana: Bin go kuni mihara (?) masa (nori?) saku 2. Katana: (?) Taira? (somebody polished all Tachi fittings of this sword, on blade machine work,heavy cutting marks). Thank you very much for help, Regards, Bojan S.

  4. New Info from Nbthk winer Togishi making Kantei of this sword in hand..It's very well made Utsushi blade, copying Nanbokucho blade. Probably custom ordered from Meiji-Taisho period Hada: Ko mokume, Ko itame, Chikei. Hamon: Gunome midare, togari, Nioi deki,Yo. Saki kasane: 0,49mm Kasane: 0,68mm Saki haba: 2,36 cm Moto haba: 3,00 cm Sori-koshi: 2,03 cm Boshi: Midare komi, Ko maru Nagasa: 68,2 cm Yasurime: Kiri Regards, Bojan S.

  7. In connoisseur's book is that Sue-Seki school made also Hitatsura hamon in Soshu Nanbokucho tradition, Is thin nagasa point's to some specific Mino den swordsmith? Thank you very much, Bojan S.

  10. Hello, this are some quick pictures and mesurements of new Wakizashi. Mumei, Hitatsura hamon, Shubu zukuri,thin mune. Nagasa: 36,2 mm Mihaba: 31 mm Curvate (Sori) 0,8 cm Kasane: 2,5 mm (thin Kasane than become thik in the end of Shinogi) Proportion: Shinogi (12mm) to the rest of the blade (19mm). Any sugestion of the school Soshu or Mino? Thank you, Bojan S.

  16. Hello, I have Nihonto blades only in Shirasayas, so this Waki is the first with Koshirae. And so my knowledge on fittings art is limited. Is it possible to read Mei from Fuchi and meybe info about the age of Tsuba. Only from my estetical point of view fittings looks good made and had diferent material combination and microscopic details. Thank you very much for help, Bojan S.
  17. Hello, can you please help me with this fittings find on Wakizasi in today's local militaria market. Fuchi/Kashira (mei turned wrong in the pic. with mobile phone) and Kogatana are very detailed in Samurai battle on river (? Soten). I belive it is all from the same maker. Also fat man with drum on Saya like menuki. No menuki as it has copper screw.Saya it looks like wrapped in thin paper or skin(?). Tsuba looks old with gold inserts / Wada Sukashi/Higo (?)   21. Thank you Ed for this info. I looked at diferent nbthk papers and it confirm your observation on kanji Shige..shodai (lines in the center of the box) and nidai ( at the bottom). Another good reference of papeted Shodai. Thank you and best regards, Bojan S.

  23. Thank you very much Ed. I was thought that shinsha put remark (shodai) allways when they are 100%. I realy find only reference oshigatas (shodai and nidai)that are not of the blades with inscribed dates.Posted signatures are real very similar.I will show pictures of the blade when it comes.   24. Hello, Shigetaka is on the way to me.So pictures will be post after few days. Is it possible for more trainned eye to find if this two mei are written from same smith. Black an white reference is NBTHK Hozon papered Shodai Shigetaka- brown photo is mine (dated 1623).I put two pictures together on mobile phone. Thank you, Bojan S.
  25. Nice, look's like shodai mei, hard to see details in some kanjis from Oshigata... I studied diferent mei Shodai and Nidai, but I still did't find right formula to know specific caracterostics, on both mei. Shodai has also nicer writting than Nidai. Thank you and begards, Bojan
