    New Tanto

Greetings I just got a minute to post my new Tanto and figured I’d share it. I’ll post the paperwork, tang, opposite side of blade and length later today. Any insight would be appreciated. Off the top of my head it’s late Edo but re-homed in its current mounts which are period besides the wood obviously. God Bless

  14. Greetings I am at best a novice when it comes to my new hobby of collecting Japanese Swords. I picked this wak up a few months ago, I was wondering a few things, is the signature original to the sword smith or the one who cut it down and also what dose it say? Any insight would be great. 15. That makes senses it it came along with this item also from the same "widow". So the dagger is for purely export correct? When I see it in the flesh I'll try to take better pic's. Thanks for the help. Death Before Dismount.

  20. Why is there writing on the spine of the tang near the blade? Also I know its a long road to clean the blade (professionally), but where could I start, and would it be worth the cost? Also is there a non invasive way to remove that gold colored coat on it? Death Before Dismount.
  21. Thanks for the links. Also can someone help me with this? Its on the spine of the tang. Death Before Dismount
  22. Saku the signature on the tang you posted looks very similar to my untrained eyes. Who's is it, and what time period? Like I said before if you need more pics just ask, I'm home today smoking cigars and relaxing. Death Before Dismount
