  1. It looks like a yamagane Tachi-kanagushi tsuba maybe late Muromachi or Momoyama, it is a pity the o-seppa are missing as it is good quality tachi tsuba, Alan
  2. This sword is by Hojoji Masahiro not Hizen Masahiro but your remarks still mostly apply.
  3. Fuchi is signed Furukawa Genchin, kozuka signed Goto ...jo and kao, I don't have my books to hand so I can't check which Goto it is but it's not main line Goto.
  4. The irregularity of the design is puzzling but I think it is a late Higo Jingo tsuba, or possibly Nishigaki work, or a copy thereof. The differently sized hitsu-ana are a typically Higo trait. This motif is usually found on Bushu tsuba but with thinner metal to the rim and hitsu-ana.
  5. Hi All, It looks like a Tameshigiri dated Tempo 9. Alan
  6. Hi All, I feel very flattered with the unwarranted praise I received here, for those of you who don't know of me I am based in the UK and have been selling sword/fittings/armour books since 1970. I collect sword fittings but not swords any more. To clear up any confusion the discount on the books is off the marked prices, everything else if reduced has two prices shown, theoriginal and a new lower price next to it. Alan
  7. Hi, I am having a sale of books, tsuba & small fittings with 30% off used books www.japaneseswordbooks.com Alan
