  9. Quick question on Kaifu Awa Yasuyoshi… After doing a little reading I find a little passage that states that Dr. Honma of the NBTHK describes the work of Awa Yasuyoshi as being similar in style to that of Go Yoshihiro? In Hawley’s he is rated at 60, the Toko Taikan Yen 3M, FS 300 and Jo Saku yet the Japanese don’t look at it Highly and he is even rated as high as the first Yasuyoshi of Nagato from the Samonji school Shohei era.??? Maybe not so quick a question.. . I’ve added 3 photos for discussion. Dan

  22. Hello to all thank you very much for all your assistance in the translating department. This nakago was very easy to translate as it was so clean and done with authority the strokes look very strong. I opened the Nihonto Kuza and it was the very first picture I saw. I will need to take another look at the blade it was in the Kamakura style I think. Dan

Someone cleaned the nakago So far I came up with Koyama Bezen Munetsugu. the date part is giving me problems... I have picks of the Nakago only... I can post pic of the Gassan Nakago if you guys want.. Thank you Dan
  24. Good morning to all. I arrived late 2pm on Sunday and still got to see some really nice things. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. This was only my second Shinsa, and I was very happy with the outcome of the blade I submitted. I had no idea of what I had I just know it looked good to me. And I only had it for a couple of days. Nidai Omi Daijo Tadahiro 74 pts. I’m a happy Camper. Dan
