  6. Dear all, Thank you for your interest. Coming back to the iron aspect I have to admit that after having removed rust, I have oiled the Tsuba (too much?). My first feeling was to consider it from end Edo but after having deciphered the signature it appeared being from 1790/1800. Kyushu or Sado provenance appears also an interesting track. Finally I am always impressed by Mauro database....
  7. Hi , When we come to Hizen Nagasaki school Tsuba, we immediately refer to Namban tsuba with design of dragons. I have purchased this small sukashi tsuba (6 cm wide) which is signed Kiyo Ju Eiryo (Haynes 00447) who lived in Nagasaski by the end if 18th century. Is such a design of horsebit is common for this school? Thank you for your insight

  20. Steven, For sure I have some doubt in the Tsubako identification. He is either Haynes 00826.0 (Hirata Harumitsu) or 00827.0 (Nara Harumitsu) who had an Hamano influence. But any information from the NMB community would be more than welcome. Thank you
  21. A copy frequently seen on EBay.. Too bad.
  22. Thank you Ford and Steven. This tsubako died in 1825 and is not a meiji area Smith. Therefore I might consider him as a precursor in such a technic. Thank you for your interest
