Hi, Are you familiar with this tsuba shape ? Do you know similar tsuba shape in any other collection ? I would call it Okame Gata due to the shape as an Okame face. How would you call it? Thank you

Hi Jake, I recently purchased a shakudo tsuba by Kikuchi Seijo. He is from the very late Edo period (around 1870), with Haynes reference 08077.0. As you see, another very different style from yours.

Thank you Jean and Ute. I have gotten my Tokosai Toshimitsu ( 東廣斎寿光) Haynes reference H10452. He was a student of Tanaka Kiyotoshi.

Difficult to me to consider the Tanaka school. The tsuba size (8 cm) , the iron plate , the mimi type make me doubt of such an attribtion. But I still don't have any clue on it...

I have this Nade gaku Hokkei gata tsuba for a while with the famous Tiger and Dragon design. I have no idea of a school for this tsuba . What are your views ? Dimension: 8cm X 7,5 cm Thank you Bruno

I have tried too decipher those two kanji and arrived at the conclusion that it might be read as TORIN. Tsuneshige signed that way sometimes and this tsuba style is close to Nara influence. Can you confirm ? Thank you
