  3. Was given this tsuba Kiribako box some years ago. Can anyone provide a translation? No, I don't have the Tsuba. Thanks! Ben
  4. Another one purchased. I blame Covid19 for this.....too much extra time on my hands. I do enjoy these Masakata tsubas. Ben
  5. Thanks Steve. For the translation and comment. Ben
  6. A very average Tsuba, I know, but something about it was appealing to me. Curious in regards to Smith/School. Any help is appreciated. Best regards, Ben
  7. I think I did pretty good with this one. Thanks to Steve on this thread for the reco. Best regards, Ben
  8. Thanks Stephen. I think this is the right one for this. Best regards, Ben
  9. Thanks Steven. Very nice one! I'm going to ask about the Nakago ana width. I'm not aware of this dealer but trust them if you do. Ben
  10. Yes Ken. This is the Yoroi doshi. Correct, the previous owner found this tsuba but recognized a better one is needed. I just want it to be more appropriate/matching. Make sense? Ben
  11. Sorry guys. I really should have posted this pic. The seller bought the shown "tsuba".....which seems just like a thick seppa. I'm traveling this week, so don't have in hand....but I think is has a gap of about 4 mm without seppa and current tsuba. Ben
  12. Need a Tsuba for a robust Yoroi-Doshi Tanto requires a Nakago-Ana width of at least 1cm. Prefer to match as shown in pic. Best regards, Ben
  13. Thanks to you all for the clarification and translations. Ben
  14. Can anyone help on the translation of this paper?....description and signature, any age info, etc. only please. I know I know.....Darcy has said Green Paper = No Paper But still nice to know what it says. Best regards, Ben
  15. Look carefully at the description.....he puts a question mark at the end of each sentence where authenticity can be considered.....sneaky! This WW2 Japanese Samurai Sword -WW II Officer? Gunto Katana? Sword. The tang is SIGNED with Asian Japanese or Chinese?character markings on the blade, there’s some kind of serial number markings on it (#10835). Above the handle on a metal plate . Sword Kinda looks like a type 98 but not sure?. I don’t know much about collecting old WW2 swords, or it’s original origin so please study pictures for condition details, may show wear due to age. I’m sure you collectors know what you’re looking at. I can’t find another like this design anywhere in existence? Ben
