Two tsubas are listed by two different ebay dealers - hitendo and daimyou54eb. They are of different shape but the design is very similar. I wonder if it is just a coincidence, or it's two fakes made at the same shop?
I may not be persistent enough to look through all the board discussions, but do we have a list of respectful e-bay dealers and other online auctions?
It's hard to believe that no serious collector ever buys fittings on-line.

This is the second one, told to me to be an Aizu Shoami school. Again, if anyone could read the names and comment on the period, school, names, etc., that would be highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Sergei
I have two tsubas made by three makers each. I am seeking the community comments about their school, names (see the closeups), period, etc.
I will show them separately to avoid confusion.
Thanks for any information.

A friend of mine in St.Petersburg has an unusual tsuba (pictured). Size 8,5 х 8,5 см, thickness at seppa dai =3 мм, mimi = 4мм. Could anyone advise regarding the school, time, etc?
Thank you, John and John. If you could also educate me what makes you make your attribution, I would be most grateful, as I am just starting and need to learn a lot.
This is a soten tsuba from my late grandfather collection. The question that I have is whether it is genuine piece of art or a later "docks of Yokohama" copy.
Thank you in advance.

I would be grateful for any other comments regarding this tsuba. I found only one reference on Bushu ju Masamitsu, the signature looks pretty similar (http://www.sakuramatsuriantiques.com/koshirae.php), but it is a very different style tsuba.
