  1. Thank you very much tony and steve
  2. thank you Grev for sharing that. much appreciated.
  3. thank you so much for tuning in, im in the middle of doing research on the tsuba, ive yet to find a comparable example.
  4. thank you so much for the compliment. so would this be the saburouemon goto branch ? does anyone have any info or examples of this smith? or send me in the right direction for info and study on him, thank you
  5. steve m was great to translate over in translation section, translated to Gotō Shūjō (kaō)
  6. thank you very much steve for your time and knowledge. so would this be the 13th master Mitsutaka 1722-1784 ?
  7. thank you very much Dominik, I really appreciate your confirmation. what generation do you think this would be 6th? or if anyone else has an opinion please tune in. I also found mei on the fuchi kashira, not sure how i missed it. im having a go at that right now with slow progress if anyone wants to lend a hand or have a go at it id be very greatful. nothing else has mei i doubled checked. here is a pick
  8. thank you for both tuning in. I was personally leaning towards Kenjo (7th) gen for the kogai and kozuka. I actually found mei on the fuchi kashira, not sure how i missed that? lol.. nothing else has mei. ive been having a go at the mei with no luck thus far. here are pics
  9. hello folks, thank you in advance for your knowledge and time. I have a set of fittings and the Kodzuka blade is signed Bizen kuzuke daijo fujiwara sukesada I believe. can anyone help correct or confirm the mei or validate this please? im a little rusty on mei as im just picking it back up. also I have some fittings over in the Tosogu section im trying to get ideas on school and period. if any of you folks would be so kind to skip over to that post and have a peek please and give me your input. i would greatly appreciate your knowledge. im not getting any feedback on them . ive included a couple pics of fitting to show quality of the Kodzuka. thank you very much .
  10. your dealer im guessing is referring to edo and later period swords. most koto swords are o-suriage/suriage (cut down nakago). In my opinion an ubu nakago is very important in later swords as if my memory serves me they can not get juyo if cut down nakago. this may have changed. earlier koto swords are fine. so if your asking my opinion then its doesnt matter to me being koto but if edo than for me it must be ubu.
  11. hey folks hope all is well ! I would love to hear some opinions on school and era please. also quality of these fittings. I know they appear well above average but im no expert. they are on a Gassan school muromachi period wakizashi. I am thinking goto but im not too good on Tsuba etc.. the Kodzuka blade is signed Bizen kuzuke daijo fujiwara sukesada I believe, anyway here are some pics, all comments welcome. thank you in advance for your time and knowledge.
  12. looks like Kosho period attribution (1455,1456) , would mean a 3rd or 4th generation akihro if im not mistaken. I have a Kunishige that is similar...
  13. congrats and what a find! we could all use a find like that once in a blue moon. to echo what Brian said that sword deserves the highest quality attention asap. cheers
  14. im bored i guess , Just keeping you guys on your toes, ...cheers
