  2. Thank you for your help even if I have no idea what it mean.
  3. I would like to see it go to someone who would enjoy it. Not sure how to sell or what a fair price is. Any help would be appericated. Bill
  4. Thanks Hank and I think you may be right. Lots of coyotes in this area so who knows. I would love to get a new handle for it. Bill
  5. I will do my best to get a close up of edge. Thanks for your information. I actually found this in the woods.
  6. Gentelmen, I have aquired this knife and know nothing about it. Really I know nothing about any Japanese swords or knifes. Anything you can tell me would be great.
  7. If I can not find one out here I would not have a problem shipping. This is getting more exciting with the history it may carry. So glad I was directed to this board. Bill
  8. I had not thought of that! Must have lost it just before he fell in the river. :-)
  9. I am in Kennewick Wa. It is in the southeast corner of Washington state.
  10. I want to thank everyone for the wealth of information given. I am into knives but not Japanese knives, so at some point I would like this to go to someone who will really appreciate it. I was in Japan in the early 70's and love the culture and people. I would like to get this in the hands of someone who could judge the quality of this knife. If anyone can tell me someone I could send it to that is reputable I would appreciate if very much. I do love history and hope I can get some place it deserves to be. Thanks again for everyone's help. Bill
  11. Hi I hope I am in the right section of this board. This my first time here. If I should ask this question some where else please let me know. I found this knife out training my dog. It was in Eastern Washington state. I hope the pictures I took will help with the identification. Thanks for your help in advance. Bill
