Dear Martin and Christ
I realy need to be less stupid.
I'm sorry you have wasted your time. I'll have to think about thay. Particularly because the label above the accompagant daisho was accompanied by two others with the blade type and n° of torokucho. But as the name indicates the etquette is different from that of the person who sold it to me, I do not reacts.
I apologize again.

Does anyone has heard of a smith name YONETOSHIRO 米戸士牢 ? I have not found him on the internet or in books that I have.
Thank you in advance.
Christophe
Thanks for your remark, Brian. Sorry to be late.
thickest : 4 mms near the Mumemchi,3 mms near the Hamachi, 3mms at the end, it is thick, If it's not a kogatana, have you an idea ?
Thanks very much for the infos, I never think about kogatana because I see only new one ( I visit often a shop in sakai who's owner forged between other kogatana when order, and the shape look like different for me. I just begin to seriously studied Japanese sword.
Thanks for the info Koichi san.
Peter, sorry to bother you, you said that you have seen heavily reworked blades like this in use on mounted swords. Can you give me more info about this kink of mounted sword or where I can found more info about it ?

I found this "blade" last week. The size 14.4 cm (22.5 with nakago) is not common ( I can't found anything like this in the books I have), it's look like a big kozuka blade.
The inscription said : 丹波守吉道 (tamba no kami yoshimichi), for the first kanji I deduced it from what remains . Did someone have an idea ? People tell me it's look like an Umabari.
What do you think ?
Thanks
Christophe
Thanks,
I was thinking of the few polish because on one side the the cut channel is almost gone, but not that the nakago had been cleaned, it means this tanto is perhaps older than I was thinking

Hi,
I discovered the Japanese swords there are now 6 years thanks to a friend
I follow the forum Nihonto recently and since learns every time something new. I thank all involved for this.
I come for the first time now asking for your help for a tanto that I bought 15 days ago. I think this is a modern blade from the Nakago.
Can you help me to identify this tanto ? (it's area of origin or the smith school? )Is There a book with information about new Japanese sword? Thank's very much for your help
