Thanks to Shingen Rick The link should be permantly available on line at the link below https://1drv.ms/b/c/...PRH9ul7uOPA?e=vwfI53 If there is a problem post rather than PM me so Rick can see it as well I've tried the link on three different browsers and it works for me The NMB comes through with another winner - thanks Brian and Rick
-
Sounds good to me I'll need your email so I can send you the PDF file No rush
-
Thats very kind of you Rick. I would need access to amend the PDF as I remove the tsuba page when I get a sale
-
Thanks Brian On Tuesday I'll try MS One Drive again but if I have problems I will try Proton Drive
-
Hi Rick Initially used an ideal programme but when it went over the maximum storage size it required a paid subscription so I deleted every thing just to hold the tsuba PDF file but it didn't work All the freebees I've found only allow it to be used for a few days I did have MS Onedrive that worked OK but I didn't like how it handled my directories so I uninstalled it I think I may have to bite the bullet and reinstall it! I'll also look into creating a website but I didn't want the 'faff' So it will be unavailable for the time being and I'll post when it is available again

I did enjoy this video - thanks
-
Hi Paul It was so worth adding this as a download and there may be errors which hopefully can be remedied by NMB members ~I did a similar exercise for Namban tsuba which was no where near as good as your research Do I see overtones of Soten work but I need to read it more carefully later
-
Hi Jean I just clicked on the link above and it took me me a page and on the left hand side was the download link Did you get this far?
-
Thank you Colin for your kind words New tsuba sale pdf link https://mbf.me/2gmRLQ @It should be OK for a few days
-
No problem I found this out on the internet Shakudo tsuba by Soten. Signed, Eshu Hikone Ju Mogarashi Soten. The school was founded by Shoten, and the first mei was Kitagawa Uji Soten. He was born in Kyoto, and later lived in Goshu (Omi province) Hikone, and was the originator of style of work referred to as Hikone bori. He is of the Go of Soheishi (Mogarashi). There is a story that Soten resided in Kyoto during the Edo period, after Genroku (1688 -1704), when this type of complicated and gaudy works were highly prized. This is fair to good condition
-
John I checked the link and see it is Edo - that is a broad spectrum I'll recheck my books for Mogarashi as I couldn't find it the first time I looked. I'll try Sesko's book Thanks Kyle Yes a bit of a mess I mixed up Mogarashi with the earlier tsuba! Doh
-
This is last tsuba mei It has been on the NMB before and was described as 'a rare O-SOTEN tsuba' but this means nothing to me The back is very faint and maybe the translation is wishful thinking but it kinda fits
-
I've added four new low cost tsuba As it a small PDF it can be attached Tsuba sale Nov 2024 added.pdf
-
Hi Michael Others have received the download OK (three have already sold) If you let me know which tsuba you are interested in I can send a single page to your email address I just checked the link and was initially told it would be active for 10 days but no I see they state it has possibly exceeded the permitted down loads! If you send me your email and I can send you a new link
-
As it's from a dealer however good his reputation I believe Mogarashi is not viable
-
Again thanks It appears that Mogarashi is not mentioned at all The reference to O Soten is meaningless? In the matial arts ko and go are interchangeable and I should have picked that up straight away
-
Thanks Ed. A step forward
-
Many thanks for your help with my 1st tsuba This is the second one Tsuba Main Papers Back of the papers The envelope
-
Thanks to you both
-
I bought some tsuba from a NMB member and with help managed to get so far but a couple of kanji elude me Initially are the kanji I've used correct and there are a couple are missing. Haynes has a few options for some kanji so it would be ideal to select the correct one

As the last PDF was over 18 months ago I've re-posted this sale Tsuba listing: Unfortunately it is only available as a download for ten days During this period I'll try to find a more permanent solution Any ideas would be welcome I've has problems with one-drive and Dropbox https://mbf.me/a8Mu7d Please note that for those that have the last download there are no new tsuba but the PDF is smaller due to sales I've added few sample tsuba from the downloads file I've also shown my tsuba books link below https://www.lulu.com...t_audience_rating=00 I do not object to any comments or recommendations Thanks for looking Grev

I've just watched them all Sad to see that (for example) Interview No 3 only had 48 views Maybe collectors just didn't know about these. I didn't. -

Thanks Peter I watched No5 and will watch the other soon. So nice to see I did notice that in No5 I'm certain he has my Birmingham tsuba book (colour and spine layout are as my book) behind him and to the right - wishful thinking? He has said my images are good but I should be placing them on a glass plate! I did try this method and ended up with a load of 'floaties' on the image and I can't get to museum archive to retake them. All my correspondence has been ignored -
Hi Dale I have (in fact) two copies but too difficult to scan
