  1. Hi All, It is time to fight the man again. Multi million dollar Kodansha publishing company want to tear down Noma dojo as it does not suit them to have a historically important dojo on their grounds. Before the war, Noma dojo was one of the four great dojo of the eastern capital. Now it is the only remaining one. It was the site of the last kendo competition that was attended by the Emperor, and the dojo of the most famous sensei of the 20th century Mochida Moriji sensei. Please support our opposition to tearing down such a wonderful dojo and memorable experience for visiting kendoka. Here is a link for our petition to save Noma dojo. http://www.petitiononline.com/savenoma/petition.html Best Paul
  2. Hi all I don't know if this breaches forum rules. Moderators please delete if it does and accept my apologies. I thought this was a good source of information for NMB members. Ginza Choshuya has taken major efforts to produce information on Japanese swords/fittings along with oshigata and good photography. You have to sign up to their site to gain access. However, signing up is free for the time being. http://world.choshuya.co.jp/ Best Paul

  5. Hi Carlo I seem not to be receiving all of my emails in hotmail. I thought it strange that I had not heard from you. I also did not recieve some of your posts to the other groups, but I saw replies to your posts. Don't worry Carlo, the book was a gift. Best
  6. Hi All, Thank you Brian for the welcome. Hi Carlo. Ok, quick update I have just come back from filming at said places and the tatara. It was an excruciating experience. Every time the camera began to roll, I was completely overcome by nerves etc, and completely lost all knowledge of nihonto. However, I was very fortunate that the excellent Mike Loades was onhand as the presenter. He has an amazing sensitivity to situations and has an equally amazing ability to eloquently describe every situation. The program should be aired this year on the Discovery channel between September and December. As for the other Ono Yoshimitsu information. The book that was produced by the Hayashibara Museum of Ono sensei's works (kindly reproduced here by Guido) is still available from the Hayashibara Museum or http://www.budoshop.co.jp It also now comes with a full English translation courtesy of myself. If anyone would like to purchase a copy and if you order through Budoshop and mention my name they will get Ono sensei to sign it for you with the Dream character etc. Be warned it is a big heavy book though. The Hayashibara museum however, will be publishing the translation directly from they're homepage in the not too distant future as it is not officially available yet. I am away again for a few days to continue my torture at the hands of camera men, but I will check in again then. Best
