Thanks for the response . I sent the blade out for a tsuka, but from what I remember the gold is lower than the rest, but like was said that dont prove anything. I was wondering if this is common, or how common it was to find a blade with a test like this without the rest that goes with it. If that makes any sense to anyone.

I had it translated its Doh I believe, belly cuts. Yes, leaves alot of doubt . itsutsu dou otoshi ?

I was wondering if any of you have come across a blade with a cut test," I hope thats the way you say it" that is not signed ? By that I mean the test itself is not signed as to who or where it was tested . The blade itself has a signature. I'm trying to learn, Unfortunately I started backwards by buying a blade . Now I'm trying to learn about it . Your patience with my ignorance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. P.S. I hope this is the right section for this question.

The tsuba and tsuka, I think the tsuba is not for this blade, at least the fit is terrible.

Ok, I hope these help. Thanks for your patience, like I said before I just started collecting . I never thought about joining a forum before I made a purchase, but now that I've found this place maybe it will help me on my next purchase. The fittings can all be changed I'm more concerned with the blade, the tsuka fits perfect, I mean nice and tight no wobble or anything, but the tsuba rattles bad.

If its a fake thats just the way it is, live and learn I guess. The fuchi , tsuba and kozuka that came on it were signed as well, I think the kozuka is fake the signature is on the handle and not the blade where it seems to be normally in the pics on the internet.

Sorry, but I'm no artist lol , this is what it looks like to me , the mei pic, my son thought the second word looked more like the mei2 pic he drew. If that helps any. Thanks again guys for the quick response .

I would like help on this mei, it looks short to me from the pics I've seen on the internet, but I'm very new to this. I used talcum to try to get it to stand out better. Thanks. Having trouble posting pictures what are the size limits please ? Thank you.
