  1. I guess Jeremy must be offline for some reason, this reply was given to his question on another forum on June 7, to which he hasn't responded.
  2. You got next day delivery from Japan to San Diego? :?
  3. Great news.
  4. I believe more pics of Tom's swords can be seen here.... http://swordforumbugei.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=5462

  6. That was going to be my second guess Moriyama san. Please forgive my ignorance as I'm a complete novice but can someone explain what... ...means as there doesn't appear to be any sori at all?
  7. Could it be this? :?

  9. I found it a little slow yesterday Aug 13th around 11:00 GMT but it was OK in the evening and I've experienced the same problem on most other forums at one time or another.
  10. You need 'Adobe' Stephen and the ability to read inverted French. Great site and thanks to everybody,I learn something new every day here.
  11. It would be interesting to read what the "sword collector/dealer" had to say about the sword as I'm assuming that he's viewed it 'in hand' or maybe that's not the case.
  12. I was hoping that it may have been a Kogarasu Maru. That's this thread locked,I guess.
  13. I'll second that.
  14. Jeremy, As you are actually using the sword,Ted Tenold has answered your question on the 'Bugei' Forum.
  15. It's not often that I'm lost for words but this is one such occasion and I can only reiterate what's already been stated above. Nice one Rich.
  16. With all due respect Frank...if you even dreamed that either of these were genuine...you deserve that slap from the wife and a few more for good measure. Didn't you notice the other 200+ SLO's that the seller has listed?
  17. I don't know of any way to date this saber (or sabre as it's spelled on this side of the pond) as it's Militaria and not Nihonto but still a piece of history. If you bought yours 10 years ago,I think it's fairly safe to say that the 'fakers' hadn't got round to sabres then and yours is genuine. This one has a 'Buy it Now' price of just over $300 in the U.K. but the tang is broken, the finger loop is missing and yours appears to be in much better condition. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/WW2-Japanese-swor ... dZViewItem
  18. This is a Type 32,1899 Pattern Cavalry Saber,Julie. Second sword down. http://home.earthlink.net/~steinrl/civilian.htm
  19. Congratulations Anthony and a pat on the back to Stephen and the NMB.
  20. Hi and welcome. The stamp sounds like it's Showa. Check it out on this link. http://home.earthlink.net/~steinrl/showato.htm
  21. Thanks for the clarification Stephen.
  22. Just out of curiosity as I've never sold anything on ebay. If someone was fool enough to bid on this item and didn't pay, would the seller have to pay the listing fee on £5k?
  23. This was me... I couldn't resist it. Sorry...I'll get my coat.
  24. you completely missed my joke I think Jean, but thats ok. It was a bad one. Rich You guys really crack me up at times.
