Hi everybody, Looking for some help/advice here. New Gold is so shiny and looks like"bling". I have done a tiny restoration with it and now wish to darken it a bit so that it's not so obvious. Any ideas what I could use / (It's only a very small piece so I wouldn't want to do a lot.)
Thanks
Gwyn

Hi Grev,
Tsuba just arrived.
Absolutely fantastic pieces. The Oak Leaves (T49 ) is really a Work of art, I love it.
The Dragon (T30 ) is also top notch.
Thank you for a fast, smooth transaction.
(I see that John (Shugyosha) has also "treated" himself and is very happy? Well done John.
Regards to you both

Hi Everybody,
Over here in the U.K. we have this T.V. programme called "The Antique Road show" whereby ordinary people drop in with articles they have at home or passed down in the family to have them evaluated by an antique expert. Years and years ago I saw a programme where somebody brought in an ivory carving of a Japanese sword smith at work.
I wonder if any members here remember that programme and possibly have a link/ photo of that article? ???
(I also remember an episode where someone brought in a tsuba thinking it was a sword buckle - it was of a monkey with spectacles.)

Try to imagine my dream/wish.
The Tsuba "Back" (image 1) with a Crescent Moon (Not full) (Image 2 ) in prominent (sticky up ) silver or gold.
Am, I a DREAMER ?
Hi everybody,
Back in the early 1970's I saw a tsuba depicting the moon behind clouds.
It was not a cut out tsuba (sukashi) but solid and I think the moon was gold with silver clouds.
At the the time I was a poor teenager and could not afford it.
Ever since, I have this DREAM in my mind that I can find something similar that I can now afford ?
Probably not possible ?
BUT
The Eye Candy that my friends here might post maybe will help ease the pain?

P.S. and you never know?
Could any of you very kind gentlemen please help me with translating the date of this Hozon paper please.
Very much appreciated for all your help.
Regards
Gwyn
