  1. Curious about the symbol next to the three circles - it looks odd, for an ideogram... And there's another character at the end of the serial number, which is hard to see. It looks like the band is copper, and some brass, but what is the handle composed of? I think this is an NCO's sword, a type 95, according to Wikipedia. Pretty common, judging from the serial number.

  3. I know this is way off topic and will probably be squelched, but I am looking for someone to translate a book I am writing about a certain person (a biography) that would be of great interest (I think) in Japan, and to help get it published in Japan. Please send me Private message or email to fairbroATSIGNgmailDOTcom. Best regards.
  4. My friend gave me 2 old swords he got from someone who got them from Philippines during WW2. He wants me to sell them on EBay for him. One looks like a type 95, according to wikipedia, the other one has only one identifying mark on it, as far as I can see, an "M," or a "W," inscribed in a diamond shape quadrilateral, or it could be 2 humps, the Chinese character for mountain or hill. Or it could be something else. Any ideas? Thanks for the help!
