  1. thanks for the replies, guys pretty much as i had though. what about the swords with real N.B.T.H.K. papers? are they spot on when they claim that the mei is real? can I 100% trust that what the papers say about the blade is correct? the reason for this thread is that i've seen some swords for sale, all rated TOKUBETSU HOZON by NBTHK but the signed ones cost about twice as much as the unsigned ones.
  2. sorry guys, I'm a total noob. all other conditions the same, a signed sword values much more than an unsigned one. correct?
  3. Guys, check out this Tachi http://www.ksky.ne.jp./~sumie99/sword33.html If it was made by Osumi Toshihira, Living National Treasure, why is it so relatively cheap? ~$25k
  4. Yes i know. BTW, why do you think they are so expensive? Because of the flawless condition of a new blade? Og and If anyone know any other places besides Usagiya, please let me know \ Thanks.
  5. Got it, thanks a lot John. I'm a new collector and i just want to own a real Japanese blade of exceptional quality and condition. I'm still learning about antiques.
  6. guys, who sells top quality, sharpened modern nihonto ?
