  1. Hi, I believe your blade reads Seki Ju Ishihara Kanenao Saku. Regards, John
  2. Hi All, Kings2715 is Showa22. He used to only buy under the buyer id of Kings2715 and resell under Showa22 until recently. I know very well because I have sold many complete swords and bare blades to kings2715 and seen the exact items relisted under showa22. He recycles many swords and blades he wins and they turn back up in a few weeks on Ebay. Lot of interesting bidding also on his items...... Best Regards, John
  3. Hi All, Please let me explain why I placed the bid and let the auction run to help him. I have been buying military items for years starting with German and the past 10 year Japanese. I have seen so many shady deals from other military buyers that give pennies on the dollar of what things are worth. I always told myself to treat people fair and you will be rewarded and try to help people that do not know. I have not known many things about my items and you all have helped me here. I know many people here would have liked to have it for 1500, but just maybe the extra money will help someone we do not even know and bring joy to someones life. I also know how many people are strapped for cash and need to find a bargain and I am sorry if I offended anyone for doing this, but I would have done this for anyone of you also. Pay it forward.... or should I now say pay for it. I tried to lighted the subject with a little humor. :D Best Regards, John

  10. Hi Barry, I have had a couple that were coated in varnish in the past couple years. There is a stripper called Citri_Strip that I have used. It does not harm the blade one bit like some chemical strippers if left on while being industrial strength, biodegradable, and you can use it indoors without a problem. Smell like oranges I think. Regards, John

I am probably way off from overthinking this one, but is this a five character mei? Or province then mei. 1st- Kiyo or Dai 2nd Naka or Shin 3rd Shi 4th Mitsu or Za or maybe Masa 5th Hide. Still trying to learn. Thanks for you help, Regards, John
