  5. For a Tetsu-Nin / Jin--- such piece does eitherway cry for a "keep on hold" Richard. just Nice! 😉! one of the first piece i do see , done by him / group??- following this rather Edo style way of taste ..... as he and the group is rather known to work into the Mikawa tradition....least for me.... after the settlement of course, they did work more into this lavish Kyushu and Kaneie stilism... how are the exact measurements ? please do let me know! Excellent Tsuba! Very nice to see it! My very honest Congratulations! Chistian
  6. very strange! i have never ever seen this model ( in 8.- 9. - Flobert- and 3.0 Mauser-//// with such carving-/-/ filing marks ever! Also, i just do remark, for the original first 3 generations one, the Hammer is not authentic! ( latter ones are either not relevant...) somehow ( very!) strange to my eyes...but yes? who knows...? ( i won´t buy or own it for shure!...it does rather look cinematic for me ? ) maybe a "Star Wars" cinematic weapon....worn by a Mandalorian,or a Stormtrooper ! LOL! Christian
  7. i personally do like this Tsuba! i even would like this Tsuba had a attribution to the Tosa..... ( as such i would certainly had a quick jump onto it ! ) as but "Japan" does say "Akasaka"... this would not ben possible i do think ??? ( LOL!) so far.... ! happy bidding! Christian
  8. Great! nice so to see you´re still here! ( least back...) i do confess, i meanwhile rarely do look- but here ! i will do! very nice to see and read about you! especially in such special times..... do keep on going well! Chris

  12. i do confess....my wording was wrong those times....definitely! but ? if it is this Tsuba here Tanto 54 did submit ???? ( sorry- i really do not remember...) i do say....even worse! LOL! ( Joke! no critics!) And yes Grev, you made a big progress meanwhile! ( and this is the only thing counting!) do keep on going! ( Tsuba collectors are scarce....as you do know....)
  13. got it! Christian
  14. Ja! Martin, das ist vollkommen Richtig! aber! ich kann doch beim besten Willen kein Akasaka Tsuba mit einem dahergelaufenem Shosu Stück vergleichen! Und Du weisst selbst, wo die Grenzen liegen! ( those who may want to translate- will do it) Christian ( Liebe Grüße! )
  15. everybody to be happy with his or hers attribution and fullfillment! i just personelly would not at all !; be happy! ( and this is just all i wrote about!) Christian
  16. the topic Tsuba does not look to have any age dear Gentlemen. this looks like a amatheurish done work to me... least me here, i do not flipp onto it- to say it honest. comparing it with the Lundgren one is even worse! ( have you ever seen the Lundgren one ? it got exhibited several times in the NBTHK European section meetings in the 90´s ! ) Christian
  17. Sorry! but.... i do equally agree with the above short observation! It looks horrible! don´t think this is a work done by a reputable school here.... Christian
  18. Yes! known. This Executioner´s blade did belong to the Kyoto Lineage of the Yagyu....( here it´s Kyo Lineage)... Those were most part belonging to such stuff in 1820´th around..... 40 years active around....( in sum...with all its "Tuttolage" spreading around...) ( to get a Hozon is more or less a Nonsense dream! as this will most probably not exist for such, yet! for this kind of stuff,) ( it may but rsult! Laugh!.....depending who does submit...) that´s the way... ( they just do not like it....) Christian
  19. sorrowly i am a bit questioning myself about this Kissaki. may it be possible so to show me more of this? ( you are welcome to use my PM Ray! No hesitations please!) ( as usual- just a question of course) me

  21. You are welcome Steven, Rick is a professional and very excellent smith! this Forum here is more used so to see traditional Japanese Artwork per Se.... eitherway- i do agree.... a Rick Barrett Blade is always a kind of it´s own ! just excellent! i do have a blade by him myself...bought it somewhere in the 90´s.... won´t sell it! --------------------------------------------- maybe you should reflect! ( in sum- you better should not sell it my friend!) Christian
