Now on ebay but would prefer to sell on the board. I prefer a donation to the board rather than eBay's pockets https://www.ebay.co....r=artemis&media=COPY

So I picked up the tanto tsuba of a fellow board member a few years ago. Ive recently seen this design (without the filling) described as a rack for drying tuna?) This leads on to my question, have the voids in this tsuba been filled with I presume is lead?

Perhaps a little project for someone to strip it back to its former self. Rob m

No idea about this one other than its very large at 9x9x0.4xm and the sukashi appears to be filled with lacquer. £100 plus postage.

Surely that last tsuba is Eiju seiryuken

Interesting read. So what would be the general consensus on what this tsuba is made from? Rob M

Picked this up a few months back. It was described as being made from Shibuichi. I was wondering if it is in fact just patinated copper due to the copper colour visible where the seppa have worn? In hand the tsuba is much darker than pics. Many thanks Rob M

Really nice tsuba regardless of what the subject is. Rob M

Interesting to see what I presume is museum collection ref no 59 actually stamped rather than painted. Rob m

So my father also gave me this tsuba as a birthday gift. He said that despite the rust he enjoyed the design and was fascinated on how such tiny holes could be drilled (and even how the drill it's self could be sharpened) would the design be shippo? The mei..I've tried. Perhaps Kofu ju..?

I was given this tsuba as a birthday gift. Its 7cmx6.6x0.3cm depicting a village scene inlaid in copper. Tsuchime finish with a fukurin (not sure what type of metal?) Would it be a hammer or a liadle depicted? I guess late edo Shoami work? Many thanks Rob M

Which UK dealer is that? Rob M
