I'm back I recently posted a request for assistance with a character in a date which soon was sorted out, now I have another request as I am unable to find any information on this smith, I have come to the conclusion that it is not Hosokawa Masamori as the character for Mori is different. I have checked on line to no avail, and so I am hoping someone in this group can help. Many thanks Ian

Gentlemen and Ladies I’m stuck on one stupid character I just cannot find, I have (Meiji ? Nen Kichi Nichi) I have been unable to find any reference to this character and so I am unable to complete the date. also I have not been able to find any information on this smith, can anyone help please 👍 Many thanks Ian

In Alfred Dobree (Japanese Sword Blades)the 3rd character up is the same as A8 (Hada) which makes no sense.... Ian

Hi Marco Yes , the oshigata on the left is shodai and the one on the right is signed Echizen Kuni ju which I thought was Shodai as well as I have only found references to Nidai signing Yamato Daijo. as you can see from the picture they are nothing like mine.. You never know mine could be Gimei.. Ian

Gentlemen & Ladies I have a Wakizashi signed Yamato Daijo Fujiwara Kanenori, I can find some information on him but not much..... I know this is Ni-Dai Kanenori and his father (Shodai) was Echizen ju Chikugo no Kami Fujiwari Kanenori, my problem is I am unable to find any Oshigata in my limited library to compare with mine.. Hi Ken Unfortunately I don't own the blade, a friend has it and the Nakago is in poor condition and the Mei only partly showing, can only read Tosa ? ? ? ? Munetake. I will get a picture from him and see if anyone else can make more sense from it. The reason I put it as (no Suke Tachibana) is that he is the only one using that unusual TAKE character although the remnants of the missing characters don't seem to match........... I will post the picture as soon as I receive it. Ian
