Dear all,

i am new to this board and i'd like to say its absolutley brilliant! :D

having said that here's my question - i was offered a tachi with a certificate i had never came across previously. it was issued by an organization i have never heard of either.

the seller wants some serious cash for his piece so i'd like to make sure what i get for the money.

i am attaching scans of the envelope and a photocopy of the origami (it didnt fit into the scanner so i had to photocopy it) - the paper is blue.

any help would be greatly appreciated!

thank you

Domo Arigato Koichi San!

i have another question then please - can this certificate be trusted? does it add a value to the item?

also, the swordsmith mentioned - Takekuni Shimosaka - i've found him on Nihonto Club http://nihontoclub.com/smiths/TAK243 but being a novice i'm a bit confused by the rating systems - the 15 by Hawley and 2M by Toko Taikan - is it good or no so good? :)

thank you
