Curran Posted May 9, 2013 Report Posted May 9, 2013 Most most most enjoyable reading. The part about the Ichijo saku ensuite kowakizashi koshirae was the bonus for those of us focusing on fittings collecting. I am curious to see the koshirae. Quote
k morita Posted May 27, 2013 Author Report Posted May 27, 2013 Hi, Japanese newspapers reported this news at last on May 26. It means that the members of NMB had known about Okayama Toshiro earlier than the newspapers in Japan. Quote
Brian Posted May 27, 2013 Report Posted May 27, 2013 Morita san, Sounds like the newspapers there, would do better to become members of the NMB, and get the info fastest  Thank you for your efforts to let us know so quickly. Brian Quote
kunitaro Posted June 1, 2013 Report Posted June 1, 2013 Great news ! The Tanto will be Kokuho !?!? Quote

k morita Posted June 3, 2013 Author Report Posted June 3, 2013 PartII The book[Zusetsu Token Meibutsucho] (Author:Tsujimoto Tadao, Pub1970) is must read book for research of meibutsu swords. But a photograph and an Oshigata of Kosai-Nagamitsu((香西長光)) do not appear on this book(on page 331). So i upload here an oshigata of Meibutsu Kosai Nagamitsu. Quote
k morita Posted June 21, 2013 Author Report Posted June 21, 2013 No one interested in the oshigata of Kōsai Nagamitsu. But,this oshigata is very very rare! I pasted a photo copy of this oshigata on the page 331 of the book [Zusetsu Token Meibutsucho]. Quote
cabowen Posted June 21, 2013 Report Posted June 21, 2013 Looks like it was made as a wakizashi.... Quote
runagmc Posted June 21, 2013 Report Posted June 21, 2013 After reading Chris' comment about it looking like it was made as wakizashi/ kotachi, I drew this up from the oshigata to try to imagine it as an ubu tachi around 3 shaku... it looks oddly sakisori which would be unusual... it makes me wonder if this sword was made shorter, like Chris said...
