kissakai Posted August 9, 2019 Report Posted August 9, 2019 Hi I bought this yestertday and I normally do not buy any WWII Japanese items! I had been translated and I though it was an informative piece I wondered why it was a prayer flag. I assumed this would stay in the 'barracks' Size is about 18" x 24" I welcome any comments Described as ‘Nice quality WW2 Japanese silk prayer flag’. The translator states ‘Beautiful writing and slogans’ Top – Kyu cho un bu = The fortune in the war Side – To Mr Inatsuke shi Racially: Royalty service > in Japan we call self sacrifice Life and death, penetrate Fighting spirit Volunteer service Justice, brevity Shigeru! Try your best, from mother Emperors country Must protect Young cherry (young solider) with note: Young cherrytree has blossom and after they are scattered Go over the death line Play for the fortune in the war Samurai brave Total victory Loyalty and filial piety (duty) Devil and beast of American and English Shoot!
