kissakai Posted February 20, 2019 Report Posted February 20, 2019 Hi Vistiting a friend today he asked me if I knew what the flower/leaves were I thought about Japanese knotweed but can't find a good match It has a Mito feel but not quite (in my opinion) So I'm manly interested in naming the leaves I've shown the back as it may be of interest With thanks Grev 1 Quote
MauroP Posted February 20, 2019 Report Posted February 20, 2019 Hi Grev, the flower in omote could be Caltha palustris (buttercup or crowfoot family). In Japanese could be 蝦夷立金花 - エゾノリュウキンカ https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/0e/Ezonoryukinka.JPGMauro 3 Quote
kissakai Posted February 20, 2019 Author Report Posted February 20, 2019 I'm liking this suggestion and I've not seen this before Quote
matsuba Posted February 21, 2019 Report Posted February 21, 2019 Hi, Grev. also the leaf shape points to Caltha palustris. and the plant belongs clearly to Ranunculacea family. Jarmo Quote
